The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Provides evidence-based, developmentally appropriate child life interventions that include therapeutic play, preparation, and education that reduce fear, anxiety, and pain for children. Develops and delivers skilled child life services focused on the developmental, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the child. Serves as a preceptor in the onboarding of newly hired team members, directly orienting to day-to-day routines and procedures and departmental and hospital policies. Advocates and serves as an educational resource with the healthcare team. Develops departmental educational opportunities both within the department and with other medical disciplines. Directs daily activities, oversees project work, conducts weekly conferences, evaluates, and takes responsibility for preparing complex care plans for student interns. Serves as a resource for special projects as assigned.
