Job Duties
The Child Learning Provider of the Learning Community Center will be responsible for helping to create and carry out lesson plans and activities, and caring for the children of parent participants of the Learning Community Center.  This position will interact with children using art, music, reading time, and educational activities.  The Child Learning Provider of the Learning Community Center is supervised by the Learning Community Center Program Manager.
- Responsible for the direct care, supervision, and well-being of children in the center while implementing age-appropriate activities using art, music, reading, and other educational activities.
- Responsible for the implementation of the curriculum to be used during child care opportunities.
- Will monitor the classroom area to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, providing a positive environment.
- Ensures facility is neat, clean, orderly, and free of all safety impediments.
- Records daily attendance and maintains accurate and complete records.
- Ensures supplies are well-maintained and readily available.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish preferred with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have suitable experience for the position; prefer early childhood or elementary experience and education. In lieu of suitable experience, former program participants with high level of engagement are also strongly considered.
- Must possess ability to work with children infant to 6 + years old.
- Must develop and maintain a commitment to the mission of the center, along with possessing sound judgment, maturity, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability in customer service skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products including, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
