Emplify Health by Gundersenis seeking a Childcare Teacher to join our growing and thriving organization. This is your opportunity to provide both customer service and effective engagement to the children/families we serve while doing the work you love in the beautiful coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin.

What's Available:

  • 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week)

  • Shift: Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm shift

  • Location: Onsite, Child Care Center - Toddler room - La Crosse, WI

What you will do:

  • Plan and implement daily developmentally appropriate programs for children.

  • Maintain a safe and conducive environment for growth and development.

  • Create tailored lesson plans and promote positive self-esteem.

  • Communicate effectively with families and facilitate parent conferences.

  • Ensure compliance with licensing rules and oversee co-teachers and volunteers.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency, along with two years of higher education or an equivalent combination of higher education and/or work experience as a childcare teacher in a licensed childcare center.

  • If higher education is not in child development, course work will be required within 3 months of hire to include: “Introduction to the Child Care Profession”, “Skills and Strategies of the Childcare Teacher.”

  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
