What You'll Do

As a Childcare Teacher, you’ll help create a classroom where children feel safe, supported, engaged, and excited to learn.

You’ll:

  • Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, movement, and exploration.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment where every child can thrive.
  • Develop lesson plans that reflect each child’s interests, abilities, talents, culture, and individual learning style.
  • Lead daily classroom activities and help create an engaging, organized learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children and serve as a caring, dependable role model.
  • Follow EEC regulations, NAEYC standards, and Old Colony YMCA policies and procedures.
  • Help make each day at the Y a little more fun, meaningful, and memorable!

Schedule

Full-Time | Min. 35 hours per week | Monday–Friday

Shifts range between 6:45 AM and 5:30 PM.

What We're Looking For

You’ll need:

  • To be at least 21 years old, OR have a high school diploma/equivalent and meet EEC education and experience requirements for a Teacher.
  • EEC Teacher Certification
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications- willing to train
  • Evidence of a physical examination within the last 12 months.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them learn, grow, and have fun!

Qualifications

Full time positions are hourly 35- 40 hours weekly M-F shifts range between 6:45 am and 5:30 pm.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age or have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet EEC requirements for education and experience for Teacher.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  • Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
  • EEC Teacher Certification
