
The Child Care Business Specialist serves as a member of the Family Development Team to deliver programming and assist with the evaluation, planning and management of Family Development programs to childcare providers in Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida Counties. The Business Specialist will help build the supply of quality childcare in the three counties by offering technical assistance, training and coaching to childcare providers. The educator will deliver established educational programs to childcare providers on topics including but not limited to: Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) guidelines, engaged learning environments, program organization and routine, parent and provider communication, developmentally appropriate practice, program development, business practices, professionalism and responsibility. This position will provide data entry of participant data requiring confidentiality. The Educator will provide information to participants regarding other Extension programs, community agencies, and services as needed.
