- Sustainable Performance: Balance and preserve Profit, Environmental, and Human/Social performance through rigorous tracking and strategic trade-offs.
- Value Sharing: Ensure value created is shared equitably among ecosystem stakeholders (customers, suppliers, teammates, government, shareholders, and society).
- Growth Levers: Lead the analysis of primary growth and profitability drivers.
- Multi-Capital Modeling: Connect business models to all relevant capitals, identifying value drivers while assessing and reporting potential multi-capital value destruction.
- Scenario Planning: Co-validate long-term targets and draft comprehensive multi-scenario strategic plans.
- Financial Literacy: Educate business leaders on new KPI trees (e.g., Sales Equation, Margin) and underlying value creation mechanisms.
- Data Narratives: Pair financial metrics with business narratives (e.g., Customer Lifetime Value) to guide teams on performance improvement.
- Innovation & Tech: Facilitate business transformation by identifying and leveraging market dynamics and new technologies.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Partner with data analytics teams to generate insights, drive predictive models, and test new business models.
- Procurement Optimization: Co-lead indirect purchasing functions to deliver targeted gains, optimize vendor pools, and apply local payment policies.
- Balance Sheet Optimization: Active monitoring to unlock Free Cash Flow (stock, AP, AR) and identify fixed asset liquidation or equity/borrowing optimizations.
- Cross-Functional Strategy: Assist vertical business units (Real Estate, Tech, Alliances, etc.) with local market knowledge to implement global strategies.
Pillar 3: Strategic Transformation & Sustainability
- Strategic Facilitation: Serve as the central catalyst for strategic management, aligning the business unit on objectives, opportunities, and threats.
- Success Factor Mapping: Define critical success factors (resources, capabilities, and competencies) relative to changing environmental trends.
- Resource Allocation: Dynamically allocate human and financial resources between business units to accelerate digital and circular business models.
- Business Model Development: Support the market positioning, marketing, and pricing strategies for new business models (digital, circular, marketplace).
Pillar 4: Governance, Compliance & Financial Reporting
- Board Representation: Balance high-performance requirements with strict compliance as an effective board member and legal representative.
- Data Integrity: Guarantee reliable, timely financial statements and non-financial data (e.g., carbon accounting, social impact) for internal and external stakeholders.
- Audit Management: Manage relationships with local and group auditors to ensure timely, low-risk audit results.
- Tax & Treasury Oversight: Oversee end-to-end VAT, transfer pricing, and tax processes while maintaining proactive relationships with local tax authorities.
- International Frameworks: Ensure local business decisions comply with global corporate obligations, including:
- Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence ( CSDD)
- Non-Financial Reporting Directive ( NFRD)
- Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive ( CSRD)
Pillar 5: Risk Management & Legal Oversight
- Internal Controls: Implement strict Risk Management frameworks and internal control policies to safeguard organizational objectives.
- Compliance Auditing: Monitor and control compliance levels via the annual Autodiag campaign.
- Legal Function Management: Oversee insurance, contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property, commercial law, compliance, and GDPR compliance.
- Contractual Governance: Enforce the Power of Attorney guidelines, delegation of commitments, and related invoice approval workflows in corporate tools.
- Risk Assessments: Perform regular, quantified business risk assessments across supply availability, customs, competition, HR, credit risk, and data privacy.
Pillar 6: Global Strategy & Finance Transformation
- Local Stewardship: Act as the local custodian of corporate financial strategies, translating and implementing them within the business unit.
- Finance Efficiency: Partner with the corporate finance team to increase compliance and operational efficiency.
- Corporate Standardization: Apply group-wide financial strategies, including:
- Mutualization of accounting, FP&A, and treasury functions.
- Standardization of tools, processes, and data.
- Strict accounting quality targets and finance digitalization.
- Working capital management and productivity reinforcement.
- Group Collaboration: Contribute local market expertise and needs to global corporate projects.
Pillar 7: Operational Excellence
- Business Partnering: Drive the Finance & Legal functions to deliver proactive business partnering, serving as a role model for transparency, ethics, and innovation.
- Agility & Efficiency: Ensure the Finance & Legal team remains highly adaptive, continuously optimizing its internal operational workflows.
