At NIVA Health, we're not looking for a traditional corporate CTO.

We're looking for a builder.

This is an opportunity for an experienced technology executive who still enjoys architecting systems, solving technical problems, mentoring engineers, and building products—not simply managing them.

You will lead our technology strategy while remaining closely connected to engineering execution, AI innovation, data platforms, automation, and product development. You'll work directly alongside executive leadership to shape the future of our healthcare technology ecosystem, helping us scale intelligent products that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

This role combines executive leadership with hands-on technical influence. If your passion lies in creating high-performing engineering teams, designing scalable architectures, leveraging AI to solve real-world problems, and building products from concept to production, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Lead

• Define and execute NIVA's technology strategy and roadmap
• Lead Engineering, AI, Data & Platform teams
• Build and mentor a high-performing global engineering organization
• Drive software architecture, AI initiatives, automation, cloud infrastructure, and platform scalability
• Establish engineering standards, governance, CI/CD, security, and development best practices
• Partner with executive leadership to align technology investments with business priorities
• Evaluate emerging technologies, AI models, and product opportunities
• Balance strategic leadership with technical architecture and solution design
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has successfully built technology organizations—not simply managed them.

You should have:

• 7yrs+ years in software engineering and technology leadership
• Experience serving as CTO, Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, or Fractional CTO
• Proven experience building products from concept through production
• Strong background leading distributed engineering teams
• Deep experience with AI and LLM technologies
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures
• Strong software engineering background
• Experience hiring, mentoring and growing engineering teams
• Healthcare, MedTech or regulated industry experience is advantageous

Technical Expertise

We're looking for a technology leader who can confidently lead architecture, engineering, AI, and platform decisions across a modern cloud-based technology environment. Deep experience designing and scaling solutions within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem is essential, as this is the foundation of NIVA's current technology environment.

Required Experience

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including cloud-native architecture, infrastructure, and data services
• AI/LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and workflow automation
• Software architecture and scalable system design
• Python and modern backend development
• API design and integration (REST/FastAPI or similar)
• CI/CD, DevOps, and engineering best practices
• Git/GitHub, version control, and engineering governance
• PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases
• Docker and containerized deployments

Strongly Preferred

• Cloud data platforms (BigQuery and modern analytics architectures)
• Front-end technologies (React or similar)
• Mobile application architecture (Flutter, Kotlin, Swift)
• Cloud security and identity management
• Observability, monitoring, and system reliability
• Engineering quality practices, code reviews, and technical mentoring
