• Develop a deep understanding of our technology stack, systems, and processes, identifying opportunities to simplify, optimize, and improve efficiency
• Define and execute a technology roadmap aligned with long-term business goals and growth
• Make key architectural decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability
• Build, lead, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
• Improve development processes and workflows to increase delivery speed, quality, and reliability
• Collaborate closely with founders and leadership to ensure technology drives business impact and customer value

Your part in the bigger picture

Technical Expertise:

• Strong foundation in software engineering (back-end, front-end, or full-stack)
• Proven experience building and scaling web and/or mobile applications
• Hands-on experience with system architecture, performance optimization, UX, and scaling challenges
• Ability to make architectural decisions and evaluate their long-term impact
• Experience with modern development practices (CI/CD, automated testing, version control, cloud infrastructure)

Leadership Experience:

• Proven experience leading engineering teams
• Strong ability to mentor, grow, and elevate technical talent
• Experience working closely with C-level executives and founders
• Experience contributing to strategic decision-making

Business Understanding:

• Ability to connect technology decisions with business outcomes
• Experience in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
• Hands-on mindset with strong execution focus

Nice to have:

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, tech startups, or SaaS environments
• Experience building or evolving in-house systems
• Practical experience applying AI/ML solutions in products or internal tools

💵 Salary

8000 - 11000 Eur/month (gross), depending on individual experience.
