CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (CTO)

Net Salary: ₦1,500,000 Monthly (Net After Tax)
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a senior executive responsible for leading the overall technology vision, infrastructure strategy, cybersecurity framework, and digital innovation roadmap of the organization.
The role oversees the end-to-end design, deployment, scaling, and optimization of broadband and enterprise infrastructure, including fibre networks, wireless systems, IP backbone, cloud integration, and managed connectivity services.
The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership experience in telecommunications, ISP operations, and enterprise network infrastructure, with a proven ability to scale complex digital infrastructure in fast-growing environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Technology Strategy & Leadership
Define and execute the organization's long-term technology and infrastructure strategy
Align technology roadmap with business growth and expansion objectives
Drive innovation across broadband, cloud, wireless, and enterprise digital solutions
2. Network & Broadband Infrastructure Management
Oversee design, deployment, and optimization of fibre and wireless broadband infrastructure
Manage IP backbone, enterprise connectivity, and last-mile access networks
Ensure high availability, redundancy, scalability, and service reliability
Supervise GPON systems, routing, switching, and wireless backhaul infrastructure
3. ISP Operations & Network Performance
Lead Network Operations Centre (NOC) activities and service assurance functions
Manage bandwidth optimization and upstream provider relationships
Oversee data centre operations and enterprise network performance
Ensure consistent uptime, quality of service, and SLA compliance
4. Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance
Develop and implement enterprise cybersecurity architecture and controls
Ensure compliance with telecommunications regulations and data protection laws
Lead incident response, risk mitigation, and disaster recovery planning
5. Infrastructure Expansion & Deployment
Lead nationwide fibre rollout and wireless expansion initiatives
Manage tower deployments, metro connectivity, and enterprise access infrastructure
Coordinate vendors, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders
Ensure timely and cost-efficient infrastructure delivery
6. Innovation & Digital Infrastructure Development
Drive innovation in IoT, smart infrastructure, and AI-enabled network systems
Develop cloud-based services and enterprise digital solutions
Explore emerging technologies supporting scalable digital transformation
Support fintech, enterprise connectivity, and smart city infrastructure initiatives
7. Leadership & Organizational Development
Build and lead high-performing engineering and technical operations teams
Establish operational standards, SOPs, and governance frameworks
Mentor senior technical leaders and engineering talent
Drive performance management and operational excellence
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 14+ years relevant experience
Strong background in ISP operations, telecommunications, or broadband infrastructure
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
ISP network operations and broadband architecture
Fibre optic and wireless broadband systems
IP networking, routing, switching, and GPON systems
Network security and cybersecurity frameworks
Cloud networking and enterprise infrastructure
Linux systems and data communications
Large-scale NOC and infrastructure operations
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's Degree in:
Computer Engineering
Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Telecommunications Engineering
Computer Science or related discipline
Master's Degree or MBA is an added advantage
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS (ADVANTAGEOUS)
CCNP / CCIE
