Job Description

Anyfin - Stockholm, Sweden (Office-First)

Anyfin is a profitable, licensed FinTech scale-up committed to improving people's financial health. We challenge the status quo by lowering interest rates, removing unnecessary costs and building financial resilience, helping customers take control of their finances.

With our recent banking license acquisition, we are entering a high-priority growth phase. Having established a strong core business in the Nordics, our next mission is to conquer the German market and establish Anyfin as a pan-European company by 2030. This expansion brings exciting technical challenges, and we’re looking for someone who’s eager to take them on.

We seek a CTPO to join our Executive Leadership Team and transition the company into a nimble market challenger. This pivotal role requires a leader who can unify Technology and Product, instill cross-functional excellence, and ensure scalable growth while maintaining a lean, high-impact organization.

Tasks

The role

Vision

To be the strategic and operational leader who scales Anyfin's platform and product portfolio to become a dominant, customer-centric European financial institution. You will drive a shift in company culture and operations, rebuilding processes to support exponential geographic expansion while maintaining OPEX efficiency and a focus on expanding into the German market.

Mission

  • Lead the Growth Charge: Drive the technological and product strategy required to win the German market, focusing intensely on conversion rate optimization and product improvements to break through the next stage of growth.
  • Build Scalable Foundations: Oversee the improving and leveling up of all core systems (e.g., improving testing capabilities, core architecture) to ensure the platform is robustly ready for rapid, long-term internationalization across Europe and to support a broader future product roadmap (from loans to savings and beyond).

Key Responsibilities

The CTPO is responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and structure of the Engineering & Product functions, operating as a unified leader within the C-Suite.

Strategic Leadership & Product Direction

  • Define and own the holistic Technology and Product strategy, ensuring all development is directly tied to business outcomes, particularly geographic expansion (Germany priority in 2026) and customer financial health improvement.
  • Oversee the introduction of new financial products and the necessary product expansion to support the long-term vision of becoming a full-service "Neo Bank" by 2040, moving with the customer life cycle.
  • Act as the ultimate owner for technology-related compliance and audit requirements, demonstrating a pragmatic and creative approach to meeting regulatory demands without stifling business growth or agility.

Technology & Engineering Excellence

  • Lead the effort to clean up, level up, and improve core systems to prepare for scale, specifically increasing testing confidence and improving critical components for internationalization.
  • Ensure the core technology platform is architecturally sound and scalable to support growth and direct loan origination across the EU/EEA (leveraging the new light bank license).
  • Elevate the engineering function's engagement from pure delivery to a highly creative, collaborative organization, ensuring technical expertise is integrated early into the product development process to maximize innovation and business impact.

Organizational Development & Culture Shift

  • Ensure strong leadership and actively mentor existing managers, ensuring high talent density across all teams.
  • Champion a culture where every interaction with Anyfin is a positive interaction, building trust and retention that allows for future product adoption.
  • Leading a high-impact hiring initiative to evolve the engineering team's capabilities and size required for our growth phase and beyond for our pan-European expansion.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a tech leader with strong commercial acumen and an in-depth understanding of the bigger picture, ideally having navigated a company through a scale-up journey.
  • Extensive experience in the FinTech or financial industry is crucial, particularly within a regulated environment.
  • While a combined skill set is essential, a candidate should possess a strong business understanding without compromising on technical excellence.
  • Must demonstrate a senior leadership presence (10+ years of relevant experience) combined with humbleness and a focus on impact.
  • Must be willing and able to relocate to and work from the Stockholm office to fully embed and drive the required cultural and organizational transformation.
