Star Services LLC is a leading government company in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, specializing in the construction and maintenance of tunnels. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Specialist Civil Tunnels to join our team.
As the Chief Specialist Civil Tunnels, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tunnel construction, from planning and design to execution and maintenance. You will work closely with our team of engineers, contractors, and government officials to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for tunnel construction projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Oversee all phases of tunnel construction, including planning, design, procurement, and execution
- Manage a team of engineers and contractors, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor project progress and budget, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Liaise with government officials and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is being carried out according to specifications and timelines
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on project status, progress, and challenges
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices, implementing new technologies and techniques to improve project efficiency and quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tunnel construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of tunnel construction methods, materials, and equipment
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in tunnel construction
- Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected challenges
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
