Our client is an international Electronic Money Institution that provides multi-currency business accounts, payment processing, and corporate card issuing services. Catering to businesses across various sectors, they offer access to payment networks such as SWIFT and SEPA for international transactions. Clients can manage their finances through online banking and mobile applications.
As the Chief Risk Officer, you will spearhead the development and execution of a robust risk management framework. This high-impact role requires strategic oversight across various risk domains, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with senior management and various departments to embed risk management into all aspects of the business.
Develop, implement, and maintain the enterprise-wide risk management framework in line with the company's strategic objectives.
Oversee financial, operational, regulatory, liquidity, fraud, cybersecurity, and third-party risk management.
Serve as the second line of defense, providing independent risk oversight and regular reporting to the Board of Directors and senior management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations applicable to Electronic Money Institutions.
Lead the Risk function, manage risk policies, KRIs, risk assessments, incident management, and business continuity planning.
Collaborate with Compliance, AML, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to integrate risk management into business processes.
4+ years of progressive experience in Risk Management within fintech, banking, payments, or regulated financial institutions, including senior leadership experience.
Proven experience in an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), Payment Institution (PI), or banking environment, with a strong understanding of applicable regulatory frameworks.
Deep knowledge of enterprise risk management, operational risk, financial risk, liquidity risk, fraud risk, outsourcing risk, and governance frameworks.
Experience interacting with financial regulators, external auditors, and Board-level committees.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
Languages: English, Russian.
Experience in fintech.

High level of integrity, independence, and professional judgment.
Strategic mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive a strong risk culture across the organization.
