Job Description

Job Title: Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) – Design (PMC)
Project: Vishnugad Rishikesh Dam Project
Location: Uttarakhand
Experience: Minimum 10 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Civil (M.Tech Structural/Hydraulic preferred)


The CRE (Design) will lead PMC design review and coordination for dam and hydro project components, ensuring timely approvals, compliance with standards, and technical support during execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and vet design drawings, GFC drawings, and design calculations for dam, spillway, powerhouse, tunnels and allied works.
  • Coordinate with design consultants/contractor for timely submission, review, and approval of design deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with IS codes, CWC guidelines, dam safety norms, and project specifications.
  • Review structural, hydraulic, and geotechnical design aspects including stability and foundation treatment.
  • Manage design interfaces between civil, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical packages.
  • Handle RFIs, technical clarifications, and support execution team on design issues.
  • Prepare design review notes, technical reports, and presentations for client meetings.
  • Support contract team in technical evaluation of variations/claims related to design changes.

Key Skills / Design Expertise
Dam Design, Spillway Design, Hydraulic Structures, RCC/Mass Concrete Design, Stability Analysis, Seepage/Uplift Analysis, Foundation Treatment, Constructability Review, Quantity/BOQ Validation, FEM tools (preferred).
