Job Description

The Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale University is among the nation’s premier units, bringing together an elite cadre of clinicians, researchers, investigators and educators in one of the world’s top medical schools. Our nationally and internationally recognized physician specialists offer comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of lung disorders, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, lung cancer, and undiagnosed or general respiratory problems.

Qualifications

Successful applicants for the Section Chief position will be leaders in patient care, research, and education with demonstrated success in mentoring trainees. Reporting to the Chair of Internal Medicine, the Section Chief will work to develop a strategic vision for research, education, and clinical care that will advance the tradition of excellence within each of these academic missions. The Chief will oversee clinical productivity, and all financial and quality metrics within the Section in addition to managing the recruitment of outstanding faculty and staff.
