
Typical Salary Range: $218,000 - $300,000/year

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Services Division at St. Charles Health System provides comprehensive acute, infusion, ambulatory, retail, and specialty pharmaceutical care. The division ensures medication safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship across the continuum of care.
The Chief Pharmacy Officer is a key senior leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational oversight, and clinical integration of pharmacy services across the health system. This role ensures the delivery of safe, effective, and cost-efficient pharmaceutical care aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. The Chief Pharmacy Officer collaborates with all levels of leadership, clinical teams, and external partners to drive innovation, regulatory compliance, and performance excellence across inpatient, outpatient, specialty, and ambulatory pharmacy services.

EDUCATION:
Required: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, related field, or equivalent executive experience.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Required: Valid Oregon Board of Pharmacy license (or eligibility for licensure). Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to meet St. Charles Health System driving requirements.
Preferred: Advanced leadership training or certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience, including five (5) years in senior management roles, including multi-site or system-level oversight.
Preferred: Experience in integrated health systems and value-based care environments.

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
