The Chief People Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and will be responsible for building a world-class employee experience from recruitment through retirement.
This position will focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, leadership development, employee engagement, training, performance management, succession planning, and culture enhancement.
The CPO will partner closely with firm leadership while overseeing and collaborating with our existing Human Resources team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies for attorneys and professional staff
• Build a continuous pipeline of top legal and business talent
• Strengthen the firm’s employer brand and reputation as a premier workplace
• Improve hiring quality and reduce time-to-fill metrics
Onboarding & Training
• Design and implement best-in-class onboarding programs
• Accelerate new employee integration and productivity
• Create structured training and professional development programs
• Establish leadership development pathways for future managers and executives
Culture & Employee Engagement
• Serve as steward of the firm’s culture and values
• Develop initiatives that improve employee engagement and retention
• Strengthen communication and collaboration across departments
• Lead employee recognition and appreciation programs
Leadership Development
• Coach managers and emerging leaders
• Create succession plans for key positions
• Build a leadership development curriculum
• Support performance management and accountability systems
Strategic Workforce Planning
• Partner with executive leadership on organizational design and growth planning
• Analyze workforce metrics and turnover trends
• Recommend strategies to improve retention, productivity, and employee satisfaction
• Help prepare the organization for continued expansion
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of leadership experience in talent management, organizational development, recruiting, culture, or people operations
• Demonstrated success leading people functions in organizations with 100+ employees
• Proven ability to recruit high-performing professionals
• Strong leadership coaching and organizational development skills
• Experience building training and leadership development programs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Professional services, healthcare, hospitality, sales, consulting, or law firm experience
• Experience supporting rapid organizational growth
• Executive leadership experience reporting directly to a CEO, Founder, or Managing Partner
