About the Role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and execution-focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to build, strengthen, and scale high-impact programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and has a proven ability to translate vision into execution.

As COO, you will work closely with the leadership team to oversee organizational operations, build high-performing teams, strengthen systems and processes, and ensure programs achieve scale without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision Expansion
  • Formulate, refine, and execute a multi-year strategic roadmap for the Organization to scale its reach through partnerships and systemic change.
  • Become a foremost thought leader in the education and employment sector.
  • Identify new opportunities and innovate for scale, partnerships, innovation, and impact.
Operational Excellence & Institutional Scale
  • Lead all aspects of program delivery, operations, finance, technology, and people.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary workforce of 500+ staff, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the mission of social transformation.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Engage with global and national leaders across education, industry, and public policy to develop and scale systemic solutions to India's education and employment challenges.
  • Deepen relationships with existing corporate partners, onboard new employers, and ensure programs remain aligned with evolving workforce needs.
Financial Stewardship, Fundraising & Compliance
  • Manage the organization's profit and loss (P&L), ensuring optimal budget utilization, cost-efficiency, and financial sustainability.
  • Cultivate and manage high-value institutional partnerships, CSR donors, multilateral philanthropic organizations, and government grants to become financially self-sufficient.
  • Ensure unconditional adherence to legal, financial, and statutory compliances required for non-profit entities in India, reporting transparently to the Board of Trustees.

Experience
  •  Experience:15+ years of progressively increasing leadership responsibility. program management, consulting, startups, or social impact organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managing cross-functional operations.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale organizations, business units, social enterprises, educational institutions, workforce development organizations, or high-growth startups.
  • Track record of managing P&L, large budgets, and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Experience scaling organizations from a regional to a national level is highly desirable.
  • Visionary yet execution-oriented. Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong partnership and ecosystem-building ability.High integrity and mission orientation.
