Overall governance
• Act as a part of WHA Group’s top management team in collaborative decision-making on the organization-wide policies, agenda, issues and other related matter, to ensure best interest of WHA Group and Utilities & Power hub as well as alignment of company’s and hub’s targets.
• Provide recommendations to the Group CEO, BH CEOs, board of directors, top management team and other relevant parties regarding Utilities & Power work, to enable and advance WHA Group’s and Utilities & Power hub’s targets.
• Cultivate capabilities & empower teams and the next generation of leaders through provision of guidance and utilization of coaching techniques to engender a continuous improvement environment, and to ensure capabilities readiness.
• Cascade, communicate and reinforce WHA Group’s and the Utilities & Power hub’s vision, direction, strategy and targets into goals and targets of the Utilities & Power hub’s operations, to ensure that work optimally. contributes to company’s and hub’s sustainable growth.
• Provide recommendations and finalize key decision points in the areas related to operations of the Utilities & Power hub, to ensure that all key issues are duly dealt with as well as to ensure best outcome and scenario for WHA Group and the Utilities & Power hub.
• Review, provide recommendations and approve changes of policies, standards, work process and guidelines in the areas related to operations of the Utilities & Power hub, to ensure operational excellence and to ensure compliance with regulations.
Function-related accountabilities
• Review, provide recommendations and ensure synchronization of short, medium and long-term plans of the Utilities & Power hub’s operations with the Utilities & Power hub’s overall plan and milestones (and other hubs’ plans and milestones if necessary), to ensure achievement of target while ensuring the practicality in execution.
• Oversee and control Utilities & Power hub’s overall operations, to ensure achievement of the company’s and the hub’s goals and targets.
• Govern operations in production and construction functions to comply with regulatory requirements, as well as SHEQ standards and policies.
• Drive technical excellence in engineering projects and govern engineering knowledge document system to ensure critical knowledge is developed and retained as company’s assets.
• Govern the development and deployment of future technologies within the assigned areas, as well as integrate best practices and future technologies related to Utilities & Power operations into WHA Group’s current technologies, systems, and procedures to maximize operations performance.
• Govern the development of conceptual requirements and engineering project scope by concerning Health, Safety, and other critical standards to ensure each project serves company directions, in which is in compliance with relevant rules, regulations, and standards.
• Govern and validate potential growth area identification for international business, including potential M&A while ensuring comprehensive feasibility study to ensure cost benefits and value added to WHA Group, in which is in alignment with the company's strategic business development strategies and direction.
• Cultivate good relationships with key players in the relevant sector, clients, vendors/suppliers, and other related stakeholders, to build and expand strategic partnerships to support business operations and expand business opportunities.
• Develop, propose, obtain approval, monitor, and optimize utilization of resources and budget against company’s budget, to ensure optimization and the right prioritization of resources and budget.
