Chief of Staff Introduction

Roland Berger is looking for a Chief of Staff to strengthen our Consumer platform, supporting both the platform head in running its operations.

This internal, non-client-facing role makes you the strategic, financial and operational, right hand of the platform’s leadership, with a strong focus on analytical work and decision-support. You will drive operations, strategic initiatives, and internal collaboration. You will connect the platform team, corporate functions and other practices to foster alignment, collaboration and the exchange of best practices. The role offers a high level of responsibility and entrepreneurial freedom, analytical thinking and proactive ownership.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparing business review on a quarterly basis for the global Roland Berger leadership
  • Preparing bi-weekly pipeline reviews for the platform leadership
  • Preparing leadership meetings to define strategy
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to support strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution, including product and business development, analytical support and budgeting
  • Track and follow-up on actions, ensuring timelines, deliverables and high-quality outcomes
  • Advise and support leadership in defining, prioritising and executing business strategies
  • Prepare and coordinate meetings, quarterly reviews and communications
  • Driving the marketing strategy and initiatives for the platform
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration and sharing of best practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor on strategic and operational matters

Qualifications and skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Dutch and English
  • Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills with a big-picture view and commercial insight
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented with a can-do mindset and customer focus
  • Quick learner, adaptable to a fast-paced, international environment
  • Academic university degree (WO) with excellent results
  • 0-4 years experience in project management, corporate or business development; consulting or leadership experience in a start-up is a plus
  • Skilled in creating management presentations, financial modeling (Excel) and visual storytelling (PowerPoint)
  • Technical affinity and ability to translate analysis into actionable insights
