What you'll be doing

Relectrify is scaling its commercial footprint across stationary storage, EV-charging and data-centre power, backed by leading strategic investors, and is preparing for its Series B. As we enter this pivotal phase, we are appointing a Chief of Staff to the CEO.

Operating as a direct extension of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief of Staff serves as both a strategic thought partner and the principal execution lead for the initiatives that shape the company's trajectory. The mandate spans business development, investment and corporate development, and operations, with particular focus on the cross-functional priorities that fall between established teams.

The role carries delegated authority from the CEO and calls for exceptional judgement, structured analytical thinking, and the ability to advance complex, high-stakes work from definition through to delivery. This is a senior, CEO-adjacent leadership appointment with genuine decision influence, distinct from an executive assistant function and not confined to any single discipline.

We envisage an 18 to 24 month mandate offering exceptional exposure to company-building at the CEO and board level, with a clear progression path into a senior functional, corporate development or general management role as Relectrify scales through Series B and beyond.

Team background

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief of Staff works in close partnership with the leadership team and collaborates across business development, engineering, finance, legal and operations to bring the company's highest-priority initiatives to completion. The role also serves as a trusted representative of the CEO with investors, partners and external stakeholders.

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will be a high-agency, structured leader who operates effectively amid ambiguity and without a predefined playbook. They translate emerging and loosely defined priorities into clear, tracked plans, resolve obstacles, and hold the organisation to delivery. They command influence without formal authority, earn the confidence of leaders across every function, and exercise sound discretion in handling confidential strategic, financial and board matters.

What you'll do

Strategy and CEO leverage

• Translate the CEO's and board's strategy into a prioritised, tracked portfolio of company initiatives, and own the operating cadence across leadership meetings, priorities and OKRs, and follow-through.
• Represent the CEO with credibility before investors, partners and external stakeholders, exercising sound judgement on when to act independently and when to escalate.
• Prepare board, investor and executive materials, distilling complex analysis into clear recommendations and decisions.
• Serve as a thought partner to the CEO: structuring ambiguous problems, building the underlying analysis, and driving them to resolution.

Business development

• Support the origination and structuring of strategic partnerships and commercial agreements with OEMs, integrators and platform partners.
• Develop the market analysis, business cases and commercial models required to size and prioritise opportunities.

Investment and corporate development

• Support the Series B raise end-to-end, including investor targeting, narrative and materials, data room, and diligence coordination.
• Maintain the company's strategic and valuation models, and support exit readiness and corporate-development analysis.

Operations and execution

• Drive organisational progress by tracking key cross-functional projects, removing obstacles, and holding teams accountable to delivery.
• Strengthen the internal operating rhythm, reporting and decision-making processes as the company scales.
• Lead special projects as strategic priorities emerge.

What success looks like

Within the first 6 to 12 months:

• The leadership team operates on a clear cadence, with visible, measurable progress against top-priority initiatives.
• The Series B process and materials are well run, and the investor pipeline is materially advanced.
• Previously stalled cross-functional initiatives are brought to completion.
• The CEO's time is demonstrably directed toward the highest-value work.

Requirements

About you

Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and be willing to undergo pre-employment background checks (working rights, criminal history, and reference checks).

Essential

• An MBA from a top-tier business school, with a minimum of 4 years' applicable experience, ideally including management consulting, investment banking, private equity or venture, or corporate strategy and development.
• Exceptional structured problem-solving and financial and analytical modelling capability, together with board and investor-grade written and verbal communication.
• A demonstrated record of high agency and ownership, driving complex, cross-functional initiatives to completion in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• The ability to command influence without formal authority and to build enduring trust with leaders across every function.
• Mature judgement and discretion in handling confidential strategic, financial and board matters.

Desirable

• A genuine interest in deep-tech, energy and decarbonisation, and hardware commercialisation.
• Domain knowledge in battery energy storage systems (BESS), power electronics or related energy infrastructure.
