Job Description

Group

team.blue is an ecosystem of 60+ successful PaaS and SaaS brands working together across 22 European countries to provide its 3.5 million SMB customers with everything they need to succeed online by offering best-in-class expertise and services.

team.blue's brands are a mix of traditional hosting businesses that offer services from domain names, email, shared hosting, e-commerce, and server hosting solutions and, as specialist SaaS providers, adjacent products such as compliance, marketing tools, and team collaboration products. This broad product offering makes it a one-stop partner for online businesses and entrepreneurs across Europe.

Company

team.blue hub is a new internal startup within the team.blue group, created to deliver a unified, intelligent experience across all team.blue brands. Six months ago, we started building this small, top‑tier team with complete autonomy, using AI as leverage across every workflow to ship fast, think clearly, and achieve measurable results. Now, after six months in the market with the first squad, we are growing from 1 to 3 squads to deliver a complete Hub experience.

Position

As Chief of Staff, you will be the trusted operating partner to the Hub lead and the person who helps the team run effectively across strategy, operations, communication, and execution. You will maintain focus, momentum, and alignment across squads, while stepping in to drive decisions and keep work moving when the Hub lead is not in the room.

This is a high-trust, high-impact role at the centre of a scaling internal startup.

This is not a traditional PMO or coordination role. The scope spans strategy synthesis, operating cadence, executive communication, hiring calibration, and support on complex cross-functional decisions. We are open to candidates from product, strategy & operations, founder, chief-of-staff, or design-leadership backgrounds; what matters most is judgment, autonomy, and execution at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesise and maintain a single Hub roadmap across all squads, updated weekly.

  • Own visibility on team capabilities and gaps, helping translate this into hiring priorities and calibration.

  • Drive the Hub’s operating rhythm, cadence design, async-first writing culture, and rituals that help the team compound over time.

  • Prepare leadership and Board communications, including weekly updates, monthly reads, and quarterly strategy notes.

  • Coordinate cross-squad product and operational decisions, documenting trade-offs and final decisions clearly.

  • Support downstream hiring by aligning interview rubrics and helping calibrate key hires.

  • Partner with the Hub lead on high-leverage strategic questions where breadth, judgment, and fast synthesis matter.

  • During the current hiring round, take over screening and scheduling for remaining hires once on board.

Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in roles requiring senior judgment under ambiguity (product, strategy & operations, founder, chief-of-staff, or design leadership backgrounds all welcome).

  • Experience operating across multiple teams or workstreams, with a strong understanding of the reality of coordinating across squads.

  • Has helped scale a team, function, or organisation through a meaningful growth phase.

  • Strong written-first operator, comfortable producing weekly digests, decision docs, executive communication, and public-facing writing.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and marketing.

  • Daily user of AI-augmented workflows; comfort with advanced AI tools is strongly preferred.

  • Comfortable acting as a senior IC peer and thought partner to other leads, rather than as their manager.

  • Reliable, autonomous, detail-oriented, and highly organised.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Pluses

  • Founder background: has built and run something with high autonomy.

  • Public writing (Substack, RFCs, public specs, conference talks, etc.).

  • Experience in platform, marketplace, or multi-product environments.

  • Cross-disciplinary background, such as ex-consulting, ex-chief-of-staff, or ex-founder.

Right to Work

At any stage, please be prepared to provide proof of eligibility to work in the country you’re applying for. Unfortunately, we are unable to support relocation packages or sponsorship visas.
