Chief of Staff

Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site)
Company Stage of Funding: Seed Stage
Office Type: In-person 5 days/week
Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 + Competitive Equity

Our client is building AI agents that automate financial crime compliance workflows for banks and fintechs, including AML, KYC, KYB, and transaction monitoring.

Their platform enables financial institutions across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and LatAm to eliminate manual compliance workflows, reduce operational costs, and automate complex regulatory operations using AI agents that operate directly across internal systems and browser-based workflows.

Backed by Y Combinator and leading European venture firms, the company is scaling rapidly with enterprise traction across major financial institutions.

This is an opportunity to join an early-stage AI infrastructure company at a critical growth stage and work directly alongside the CEO across operations, GTM, strategy, hiring, and execution.

What You Will Do

Work directly with the CEO across strategic and operational initiatives

Own day-to-day execution across GTM, marketing, recruiting, and company operations

Manage founder priorities, scheduling, follow-ups, and execution workflows

Support sales and marketing initiatives including pricing, decks, conferences, outbound efforts, and customer operations

Build and improve internal operational systems and workflows

Create internal AI automations and workflows using tools like Claude, n8n, and low-code/no-code automation platforms

Help coordinate hiring and recruiting operations as the company scales

Operate across highly ambiguous environments with minimal structure

Drive projects independently from idea to execution

Support leadership in solving operational bottlenecks across the organization

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, GTM, and leadership teams

Operate with extreme ownership inside a fast-moving startup environment

Handle both strategic work and highly tactical execution

Ideal Candidate Background

0–4 years of experience in Chief of Staff, Founder Associate, operations, VC, or startup roles

Prior early-stage startup experience

Experience working directly with founders or executives

Strong operational and organizational skills

Exposure to GTM, marketing, recruiting, or sales operations

Strong analytical thinking and execution ability

Technical curiosity and comfort using AI tooling

Ability to learn and build lightweight automations

High ownership mindset

Comfortable operating independently with little structure

Strong communication and prioritization skills

Willingness to work in highly demanding startup environments

Interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and future founder paths

Founder Associate or Chief of Staff experience

VC, founder office, or startup operations background

Base salary: $110,000 – $160,000
