The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking to hire a Division Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics. This is a tenure-line faculty position in the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, determined by the chosen candidate’s qualifications. The candidate will join a dynamic, successful and growing 13-member team within an outstanding academic Orthopaedic Department. The Division provides the pediatric orthopaedic care for the University of Utah, the Level 1 tertiary referral center for children in the Intermountain West, Primary Children’s Hospital and the Level 2 Miller Campus of Primary Children’s in Lehi, Utah in addition to other local and outreach locations.

Minimum requirements: Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery with greater than 7 years’ experience in academic practice, advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery, and a proven track record of successful leadership in academic medicine. The candidate will work closely with the pediatric team and executive leadership to further the missions of the Division and Department of Orthopaedics. Clinically, the candidate will provide Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgical care. Applicants should have a sincere desire to lead, develop, and mentor others in focused clinical, research, and educational programs in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and interest and experience in department and/or health system leadership. Candidates need to have demonstrated an exceptional academic interest and a clear track record of excellence in all aspects of Orthopaedics, including clinical care, education, research, and service.
