Chief of Ophthalmology

Cheshire Medical Center – Keene, NH

Dartmouth Health - Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH is looking for an experienced, board-certified general surgical ophthalmologist to lead its ophthalmology team as its Chief of Ophthalmology This position requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can lead and mentor a team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and support staff to foster a collaborative and productive work environment;
  • Is passionate about patient-centered care;
  • Fosters a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and excellence in patient care.
  • Located in downtown Keene
  • General ophthalmology with ability to subspecialize
  • Strong, highly skilled support team of certified ophthalmic assistants
  • Epic EMR
  • Join an established team of 3 ophthalmologists, 2 optometrists, and 15 support staff

Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Board-certified/Board-eligible in Ophthalmology
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in ophthalmology
  • Commitment to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to obtain/maintain NH medical license
