Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center (AHOMC) in Summit, NJ. The CMO will serve as a key member of Atlantic Health’s senior leadership team and executive leadership of the medical center. They will provide clinical leadership, expertise, and perspective to the senior and executive leadership team as well as the medical staff and other team members across the organization. In addition to providing leadership and expertise in support of clinical activities and clinical quality, the CMO will play an important role in the development and execution of business strategies that will support the accomplishment of goals of AH across the enterprise.
The CMO will promote shared accountability between physicians and the system for the benefit of patients, providers, and the community. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison and advocate to create long-term collaborations and relationships between the medical staff, AHOMC and Atlantic Health leadership and the board of directors. The role includes maintaining a high level of clinical credibility within the medical center with all stakeholders. The CMO will report to the Senior Vice President, AH/President, AHOMC, as well as the EVP, Chief Medical Officer, AH.
