The Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) serves as the senior clinical informatics advisor to federal clinical and program leadership across the design, build, deployment, and sustainment of a federal health agency's Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium electronic health record (EHR). In support of an active implementation and deployment program, the CMIO analyzes clinical content and configuration questions and prepares recommendations for federal decision-makers, supports clinical governance and change-control bodies, coordinates clinical participation in testing and data-migration validation, analyzes site readiness criteria, and supports clinical command-center and hypercare operations through go-live and the transition to sustainment. The position pairs deep medical informatics expertise with practical knowledge of EHR build and change-request mechanics and of the federal program environment in which the work is delivered. This role requires a strong background in medical informatics, board certification in clinical informatics, and extensive experience working within federal healthcare environments.
