Mackenzie Health is currently seeking a Chief and Medical Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Chief will supervise all aspects of medical care and deal with all medical issues that may arise in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This includes providing quality care, fostering collegiality, ensuring call coverage, the appropriate use of resources by medical staff, and creating and implementing plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the smooth delivery of medical care. The Department Chief will work collaboratively with relevant senior leadership staff, including program directors. The ideal candidate will possess the leadership skills and experience required to lead the program and must have training in, and demonstrated clinical expertise in obstetrics and gynecology, with at least 5 years of clinical experience.
The successful candidate is expected to become an Active Member of the Professional Staff in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Applicants must be members of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with specialty certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and be members of, or eligible for membership with, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
