Our client is a rapidly expanding commercial finance platform that helps small and mid-sized businesses secure tailored financing solutions through a broad network of lending partners. The company is focused on simplifying access to capital, delivering a high-quality customer experience, and developing long-term relationships with business owners and referral partners.

As the organization continues its national expansion, the company is seeking a seasoned marketing executive to establish and scale a sophisticated marketing function. This individual will play a critical role in driving customer acquisition, expanding referral channels, elevating the company's brand, and creating a scalable foundation for continued growth.

Position Overview

  • The Chief Marketing Officer will have full ownership of the company's marketing strategy, infrastructure, and execution.
  • This is a highly hands-on executive role with direct responsibility for revenue-generating marketing initiatives, including customer acquisition, referral and broker development, brand positioning, digital marketing, content, demand generation, and performance marketing.
  • Candidates must have senior-level marketing leadership experience within alternative lending, fintech, commercial finance, SBA lending, banking, business lending, or a closely related financial services environment.
  • A strong understanding of the commercial finance landscape, lead generation strategies, broker/referral channels, and small-business customer acquisition is critical to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive the company's overall marketing strategy in support of revenue and growth objectives.
  • Build, develop, and manage a high-performing marketing organization.
  • Recruit, coach, and retain marketing talent while effectively managing outside agencies and strategic partners.
  • Work closely with the executive team to translate company objectives into measurable marketing initiatives.
  • Create meaningful KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting infrastructure across all marketing functions.
  • Develop and oversee customer acquisition strategies across paid search, paid social, SEO, organic social, email, SMS, affiliate programs, referral channels, content, display, and video.
  • Lead the company's brand positioning, digital presence, website strategy, CRM marketing, conversion optimization, and marketing analytics.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to improve lead quality, sales conversion, and overall funnel performance.
  • Monitor and optimize key business metrics including CPL, CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion rates, attribution, and marketing-driven pipeline.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with industry associations, referral sources, strategic partners, media organizations, and technology providers.
  • Evaluate emerging marketing technologies and AI-driven tools that can improve efficiency, targeting, personalization, and customer acquisition.
  • Establish scalable marketing processes and infrastructure to support continued geographic and revenue expansion.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively senior marketing experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing and developing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Executive-level marketing experience within alternative lending, commercial finance, business lending, SBA lending, fintech, banking, equipment finance, working capital, or a commercial lending marketplace.
  • Demonstrated success scaling marketing organizations and supporting high-growth businesses.
  • Experience overseeing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, SEO, CRM platforms, Salesforce, HubSpot, analytics, attribution platforms, marketing automation, and emerging AI marketing technologies.
  • Proven ability to connect marketing strategy directly to revenue, pipeline, and customer acquisition.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and operational leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background marketing financial products or financing solutions to small and mid-sized businesses.
  • Established relationships across the commercial finance and alternative lending ecosystem.
  • Experience developing ISO, broker, affiliate, or referral partner acquisition channels.
  • Track record of taking a brand from an early-stage platform through significant national growth.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams spanning creative, content, digital marketing, demand generation, and performance marketing.
  • Experience developing and optimizing multi-channel acquisition programs in highly competitive financial services markets.

Compensation & Benefits
