Job Title

Chief Manager - Sales (Specialty Chemicals)Driving growth of the specialty fluorochemicals portfolio through strategic business development, key account management, and commercialization of niche fluorinated molecules, ensuring profitability, global market expansion, and strong customer alignment.

Key Stakeholders

Internal:

R&D, Manufacturing, QA/RA, Supply Chain, Finance, EHS, Projects, Commercial Excellence

External:

Global customers, distributors, regulatory agencies, technology partners, industry associations

Essential Qualification

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering / M.Sc. in Chemistry
  • MBA (Marketing/Strategy) – Preferred

Relevant Experience

  • 15–20 years in specialty chemicals / fluorochemicals
  • Strong exposure to global technical sales, business development, and product commercialization
  • Experience in fluorochemicals / specialty intermediates / CDMO/custom synthesis preferred

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and develop global opportunities for fluorinated specialty molecules
  • Build pipeline of high-margin niche products across pharma, electronics, and industrial segments
  • Define market entry and growth strategies

Key Account Management

  • Manage strategic global customers and drive long-term partnerships
  • Lead techno-commercial discussions, pricing, and contract finalization

Product Commercialization

  • Drive end-to-end commercialization from development to market launch
  • Collaborate with R&D and plant for scale-up, validation, and customer approval

Technical Sales & Application Development

  • Provide application support and customize solutions for customer needs
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable development inputs

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Track trends (low GWP refrigerants, fluorinated pharma intermediates, specialty materials)
  • Identify new opportunities and benchmark competition

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Align with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory for seamless execution
  • Ensure customer commitments are met with operational feasibility

Financial & Business Performance

  • Drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and business profitability
  • Prepare forecasts, budgets, and pipeline conversion plans
