Job Description

Responsibilities

Mission Linen Supply is looking for experienced maintenance technicians with management or supervisory experience who are ready to lead their own facility. This program is built for skilled tradespeople who already have hands-on technical expertise and some team leadership experience, not for those just starting out in the trades.

Industry experience is not required. You don't need to have worked in industrial laundry before. What you do need is proven, hands-on technical skill in industrial maintenance, along with the leadership experience to run a team and a plant.

The Opportunity

This is a fast-track, nine-month training program in which you'll be trained directly by Mission's top Chief and Regional Technicians to lead the maintenance operations of your own industrial laundry facility. In less than one year, you'll learn what most of our technicians take five years to learn.

Upon successful completion, you'll move into a Chief Technician position at one of our 25 facilities.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay: $25–$30 per hour, based on education, experience, and location.

Benefits include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement savings program
  • Paid time off (sick, holiday, vacation)
  • And more

Relocation Requirement

Candidates must be willing to relocate after training to manage their own facility within the first three years of the program. Relocation is a required part of this career path.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who already have hands-on, working experience in:

  • Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs and scheduling
  • Boiler operation, testing, and maintenance
  • Plumbing industrial systems and repair
  • Wastewater and Treatment systems
  • Welding MIG, TIG, or industrial fabrication welding
  • Hydraulics systems and repair
  • Pneumatics systems and repair
  • Industrial Electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control panels

Additional requirements:

  • Prior experience in a management, supervisory, or team-lead role
  • Associate's degree or certification in a related industrial or technical field
  • Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude
  • Military experience welcomed and valued
  • Willingness to relocate after training to manage your own facility within the first 3 years of the program

Industry-Specific Training Provided

Once you're in the program, we'll build on your existing skills with training specific to industrial laundry operations, including:

  • Electrical engineering coursework
  • Energy conservation practices specific to our facilities
  • Industrial laundry equipment: ironers, folders, press equipment, washers/extractors, tumblers, and towel folders
  • Safety training Forklift Certification and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures

Throughout the program, you'll have the support of senior management, complete regular progress reports with our learning and development department, and participate in company-sponsored development workshops.
