About the Company

Holloway Removals & Storage is one of Australia’s leading removalist and logistics companies, operating across Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. We are in a high-growth phase, scaling our workforce, fleet, and operational footprint.

We are now seeking a commercially driven Chief Financial Officer (Part-Time) to partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive profitability, financial discipline, and strategic growth.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, commercially focused CFO role in a fast-paced operational environment.

You will not only oversee finance — you will actively influence business performance, pricing, margins, and operational decision-making.

This role is ideal for a senior finance leader who enjoys working closely with operations and thrives in a dynamic, labour-intensive industry such as transport logistics & services

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial strategy, reporting, forecasting, budgets and planning
  • Develop and maintain job-level and operational profitability models
  • Improve margins across labour, fleet, and contractor operations
  • Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and working capital
  • Partner with operations and sales to support business growth.
  • Drive cost control initiatives across the business
  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide clear financial insights to support executive decision-making
  • Support business growth, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities

About You

We are looking for a commercially strong finance leader with experience in operational businesses.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or Senior Finance Manager
  • Strong background in transport, logistics or labour-intensive industries (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Proven ability to improve margins and financial performance
  • Strong commercial acumen (not just reporting/accounting focus)
  • Experience working across all functions of the business.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Background in Small, Medium and Large Business.
