Job Description


What you will do

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with system-wide goals. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Operational Oversight: Direct financial operations for all Kentucky Region entities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Revenue Cycle Management: In collaboration with system revenue cycle and reimbursement leadership, oversee revenue cycle functions to ensure optimal billing, collections, and reimbursement performance.
  • Capital Planning & Investment: Collaborate with system leadership on capital planning and financial modeling for new initiatives and service lines.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, and financial policies. Lead audits and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to align financial goals with patient care priorities and operational excellence.
  • Financial Communication & Reporting: Present clear, accurate, and timely financial information to regional leadership, system, executives, and the Board of Directors. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages and leads subordinate managers of employees in assigned areas. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
