The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive financial leadership, oversight, analysis, and stewardship for the College. Particular emphasis shall be placed on the appropriate and conservative stewardship of public funds, the maintenance of effective internal controls, the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, the long-term financial sustainability of the institution and the daily supervision and administration of the Business Office including all fiscal affairs of the college.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and serves as the key financial leadership partner in the planning, management, oversight, and stewardship of the College’s financial resources.

The Chief Financial Officer must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in higher education accounting and reporting preferred.

This position is not on the tenure/non-probationary track pursuant to Alabama Act 2024-360 and ACCS Policy and Procedure 204.01, wherein any person who is being employed into an executive and administrative management personnel position (whether a new hire or whether a current employee who is being transferred, reorganized, or otherwise moved into such position) shall enter into an employment contract with the College’s President on or after July 1, 2024.
