Job Description

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Child Serve's financial integrity, strategy, and sustainability of the organization. In this role, you will provide strategic direction, leadership, and oversight of all financial and accounting functions to ensure the effective stewardship of resources in support of the organization’s mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate healthcare services to the community.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Executive Leadership - Partner with the CEO, Board, and Executive Team on financial planning, risk management, and organizational alignment.Develop and implement financial strategies that support mission, vision, and long-term sustainability. Present financial results, audits, and compliance reports to the Board and related committees.
  • Strategic Financial Planning - Lead development of annual operating and capital budgets, contingency plans, and financial projections.Oversee independent audits and ensure adherence to GAAP, IRS, and nonprofit regulations.Manage reimbursement methodologies and optimize financial performance.
  • Financial Operations - Direct all accounting, budgeting, and reporting processes with accuracy and timeliness.Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury functions, and investment strategies.Maintain systems and policies to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Collaboration & Growth - Work with organizational leaders to improve operational efficiency.Partner with the foundation team on grant reporting and donor fund compliance.

What You'll Need

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Ten years of professional experience marked by advancement through leadership roles in complex environments.
  • Five years of executive/senior-level experience in a healthcare or nonprofit environment.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Experience with healthcare reimbursement models, including but not limited to Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, private payers, etc.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
