Job Description

Luso Global Mining (LGM) is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its iron ore mining operation in Cameroon. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CFO will lead the company's financial strategy, governance, treasury, and performance management, supporting the sustainable growth and development of an integrated mining, logistics, and port operation. This is a opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic and international environment, contributing to major investment decisions, project financing initiatives, and the long-term success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the company’s financial strategy in line with the objectives set by the Board of Directors.
• Oversee all financial operations, including treasury, budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes.
• Manage cash flow, project financing, and capital investment programs (CAPEX).
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information with applicable accounting standards.
• Develop and monitor governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
• Act as the primary financial liaison with shareholders, financial institutions, auditors, regulators, and other key stakeholders.

Desired Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) and/or MBA/Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in finance roles, including at least 5 years in senior leadership positions.
• Previous experience in the mining, natural resources, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial planning, treasury management, taxation, and ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA).
• Strong analytical skills, strategic mindset, and results-oriented approach.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French will be considered an advantage.
