Responsible for the overall leadership of theFinance function of the following subsidiaries – SLOCPI, SLAMCI, SLFPI and SLIMTC,as well asthe Sun Life Prosperity family of funds. Manages multiple financial functions, providing strategy and direction for financial controls and planning and provides critical information to senior management for financial planning and decision making and enhances financial frameworks to achieve business results. ​

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance/Accounting/Actuarial or equivalent fields and a recognized accounting designation ​

• 15 years prior working experience inFinance/Actuarial with at least 5 years in senior managerial roles

Responsibilities

• Leads and provides strategic direction to the finance function to protect shareholders value and company assets
• Owner of multiplefinancial managementprocesses.
• Develops and enhances finance framework to ensureappropriate levelof controls are in place
• Providescriticalinformation/support to senior management for making critical financial decisions.
• Relationship management for internal/external auditors, tax authorityregulatorsand other external bodies.
• Alertssenior management to financial risk and exposure.
• Develops and enhancesfinancial managementframeworks to achieve business results.
• Supports BU Chief Executive Officer and senior management team on merger and acquisition initiatives.
• Ensures support to critical legalfunctionsas corporate secretary, litigation management, internal legalconsultancyandcontractsreview.
