The Opportunity

A well-funded Series C startup in the technology-enabled commerce space is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and strengthen its finance function as the company scales into its next phase of growth.

The business operates a high-volume platform serving a complex, fragmented market and combines operational infrastructure with embedded financial and data-driven services. With meaningful scale already achieved, the company is focused on improving financial discipline, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

This opportunity offers high impact, board visibility, and long-term leadership responsibility within a scaling fintech platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee core finance functions, including: Accounting, Tax and statutory compliance (Philippines-focused), Treasury and cash management, Regulatory and operational compliance

• Strengthen accounting processes, controls, and financial reporting

• Address and resolve tax and compliance execution challenges

• Partner with leadership on financial planning and analysis (FP&A)

• Support strategic decision-making through clear, accurate financial insights

• Maintain a highly hands-on approach, particularly across accounting and compliance

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Senior finance leader with strong experience across: Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Compliance

• Deep familiarity with Philippine operations and regulatory environments

• Comfortable operating in fast-growing, evolving organizations

• Hands-on operator who can balance execution with strategic thinking

• Retail experience strongly preferred

• Experience in technology-enabled or fintech-adjacent businesses a plus

• Strong communicator able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
