The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide overall strategic, commercial, and operational leadership for the Client, guiding the organization through regulatory readiness, market entry, and pan-African expansion.
The CEO holds full accountability for strategic direction, regulatory engagement, financial performance, governance, risk management, operational excellence, and long-term sustainable growth. This role requires a seasoned banking executive with strong exposure to retail, SME, digital, and regulated banking environments.
Define and execute the Clients pan-African digital banking strategy
Drive growth across customer acquisition, deposits, payments, FX, lending, and revenue
Lead expansion into new African markets in line with regulatory approvals
Build and manage high-impact partnerships with fintechs, telcos, banks, merchants, and institutional partners
Serve as the primary executive liaison with central banks and regulatory authorities
Lead licensing applications, approvals, and ongoing regulatory engagements
Ensure full compliance with AML/CFT regulations, prudential guidelines, consumer protection laws, and data privacy requirements
Establish and maintain strong governance, audit, risk management, and internal control frameworks
The CEO must demonstrate hands-on leadership experience across:

Liquidity and Treasury Management
Balance Sheet Optimization
Asset & Liability Management (ALM)
Credit Risk Management and Loan Portfolio Oversight
Deposit Mobilization Strategies
Profitability, pricing, and margin management
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing executive management team
Oversee daily banking operations and digital service delivery
Implement scalable and secure core banking and payment platforms
Ensure system uptime, cybersecurity, data protection, and customer trust
Lead the development and rollout of innovative digital banking products, including:
Multi-currency accounts
Cross-border and international payments
SME financing and credit solutions
Embedded finance products
Drive a superior, seamless, and differentiated customer experience
Represent the Client with investors, regulators, partners, and strategic stakeholders
Support fundraising initiatives and capital strategy execution
Build institutional credibility and strengthen market confidence
Minimum of 20 years experience in banking, fintech, or financial services
Proven senior executive leadership experience within regulated financial institutions
Strong hands-on experience in:
Retail / Personal Banking
Business & SME Banking
Capital and Liquidity Management
Treasury Operations
Risk, Compliance, and Governance
Digital Banking Platforms
Demonstrated regulatory engagement and licensing experience
Proven track record of scaling financial services or digital banking businesses
Experience launching or scaling digital banks or fintech platforms
Pan-African or multi-jurisdiction operational exposure
Capital raising and investor relations experience
Strong understanding of embedded finance ecosystems
Monthly Net Salary (After Tax): ₦4,000,000
