The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for driving the overall strategic direction, operations and performance of Beaumont Hospital, and its related services and resources, within policy directions laid down by the Hospital Board and the Department of Health/HSE to deliver effective and efficient patient care.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives and providing strategic oversight, support and clear leadership to the Executive Management Team within Beaumont Hospital. The Hospital is in the process of developing a new 5 Year Strategic Plan. The successful candidate will implement the agreed vision for the future of Beaumont Hospital, maintain the Hospitals commitment to delivering patient-centred care to the highest standards of clinical practice, healthcare education, research, and innovation, and promote an organisational culture that is open to, and empowers innovation, creativity and learning in a clinical setting.

Beaumont Hospital (incorporating St. Joseph's Hospital, Raheny) is the principal teaching hospital for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Beaumont is the Lead Hospital of the RCSI Hospital Group, which includes; Connolly Hospital, Rotunda Hospital, Monaghan Hospital, Louth County Hospital Dundalk and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.
In addition, we are a Designated Cancer Centre and the Regional Treatment Centre for Ear, Nose and Throat, and Gastroenterology. We are also the National Referral Centre for Neurosurgery and Neurology, Renal Transplantation, and Cochlear Implantation.
We employ over 3,500 staff and have 820 beds.
Beaumont Hospital also enjoys close links with Dublin City University, especially in the area of nurse training, and with other academic institutions in respect of training and research.
