Job Description

Our Client, Export Development Fund (EDF), established under the EDF Act, 1999, and recently notified as an autonomous entity with a reconstituted Board with a private-sector majority, invites applications for the Chief Executive Officer position. The incoming CEO will lead EDF's transformation into an efficient, professionally governed, corporate-style organization and maximize the Fund's strategic impact on national export growth. The role requires a proven change agent with strategic foresight, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a track record of institutional transformation, business model design, and building high-performing teams.

Who Should Apply

• Education: A degree equivalent to sixteen (16) years of education or higher, from an HEC-recognized national or international university/institute, in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, Law, Social Sciences, or other related fields.
• Experience: At least ten (10) years of progressively senior experience in reputable national and/or international organizations public, private, multilateral, or development sector including five (05) years in a senior leadership role, with demonstrated leadership in one or more of: institutional transformation; large-scale programme or operations management; export promotion, trade facilitation, or export-oriented industry; entrepreneurship and enterprise development; or commercial P&L leadership.
• Age: Between forty (40) and fifty-eight (58) years on the closing date. Persons dismissed from service on disciplinary grounds or convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude are not eligible.

Terms of Appointment

Three (03) year tenure on a market-based remuneration package approved by the Board, on a performance based contract with Board approved KPIs, in line with the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023, and the CMU C-Level Appointments Guidelines, 2024. The CEO will report to the Chairman of the EDF Board. Position based in Islamabad.
