Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for our Acute Psychiatric Hospital

Compensation: $200,000 – $280,000 Annual Salary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for our 72-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital in St Louis, MO to lead the standup of a brand new freestanding facility on the Mississippi riverfront with Arch views. The hospital includes attached Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. This is a Full-Time, in-person position.

Qualifications of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO):

• Prior behavioral health executive experience required (acute care alone is not sufficient)
• Current or recent CEO or COO experience at a 120-bed-plus behavioral health facility
• Working knowledge of behavioral health KPIs and freestanding psychiatric facility operations
• Comfort operating in a Medicaid-heavy reimbursement environment (approximately 80% Medicaid / 20% Commercial)
• Startup, commissioning, or turnaround experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree required; MHA, MBA, MPH, or related advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO):

• Drive Missouri state licensure, regulatory commissioning, and survey readiness on a first-patient target of November 1
• Hire, develop, and lead the executive and clinical leadership team across nursing, operations, finance, and intake
• Own the full P&L for the hospital and attached PHP and IOP service lines
• Build and oversee revenue cycle, utilization review, and denials management in coordination with the parent platform
• Establish the clinical operating model across acute inpatient and outpatient programming
• Serve as primary representative of the hospital to state regulators, payers, referral sources, and community partners
• Partner with parent leadership and peer CEO at the Colorado facility to adapt the proven operating playbook
