We are looking for a Chief Engineer, Layout to join our MIN PS Plant & Solutions Delivery team in the Minerals business area. In this role, you will lead layout design activities in global plant delivery projects, supporting the development of efficient and high-quality minerals processing plant solutions.

You will report to the Director, Plant & Mechanical Engineering, and the role location is Espoo, Finland, with a hybrid working model available. Occasional travel to customer sites is required.

Team you will belong to

You will join the MIN PS Plant & Solutions Delivery team in Espoo. The team is responsible for delivering plant engineering solutions for minerals processing projects, with a focus on plant arrangement design, engineering quality, and successful project execution.

The team collaborates closely with equipment engineering, procurement, customers, and other engineering disciplines to develop and deliver plant solutions that meet project and technology requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead plant arrangement design activities, including 3D model development and drawing generation.
• Lead the layout engineering scope within projects while managing quality, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate and manage subcontracted engineering work.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with Metso business processes and minerals technology requirements.
• Provide layout and plant design support to equipment engineering, procurement, and customer interfaces.
• Contribute to the development of minerals processing plants and engineering solutions.

What you'll bring

• Degree in engineering or another relevant technical field.
• Engineering background combined with experience in 3D plant design.
• Understanding of engineering tools such as Autodesk Plant 3D, MicroStation, and Aveva E3D.
• Ability to lead engineering activities while balancing quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.
