Are you a hands-on leader who loves solving problems, inspiring teams, and making an impact every day? The DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean Point Resort, a Colwen Hotels property, is seeking a hands-on, people-focused Chief Engineer to lead our property’s maintenance operations.

General Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentor: Train the maintenance team in fostering safety, accountability and team work.
• Collaborate & Solve: Oversee daily maintenance and repair of hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety equipment
• Drive Excellence: Spearhead the preventative maintenance program that ensures guest satisfaction and asset protection.
• Troubleshoot: Resolve system malfunctions while ensuring compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
• Partnerships: Work with vendors, contractors, and inspectors to ensure quality work and regulatory compliance.
• Manage: Take charge of the maintenance budget, capital projects, and vendor contracts
• Roll Up Your Sleeves: Troubleshoot issues, resolve malfunctions, and jump in and work side by side with your team to get the job done right.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous Hotel or related field experience preferred
• A proven hands on leader who communicates clearly and builds trust with their team.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and life safety systems.
• 3+ years of maintenance management or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard computer programs.
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
