This role will serve as a domain expert responsible for leading the end-to-end architecture, development, and integration of critical infrastructure solutions supporting hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center environments. The ideal candidate will bring experience across the full data center ecosystem, from utility/grid interconnection, through electrical distribution, and thermal management.

This position is focused on “chip-to-grid” infrastructure strategy and product innovation, supporting the rapidly evolving demands of AI, hyperscale computing, and high-density data center applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead End-to-End Data Center Infrastructure Strategy: Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and evolution of MEPPI’s portfolio of data center power and cooling products and integrated system architectures.
  • Drive Hyperscale Data Center Innovation: Partner with hyperscale customers and strategic stakeholders to develop next-generation infrastructure solutions supporting AI, high-density compute, and advanced cooling technologies.
  • Develop Integrated Power & Cooling Architectures: Lead the design and optimization of electrical and thermal infrastructure solutions, ensuring interoperability and performance across UPS systems, power distribution, liquid cooling systems, CDUs, and supporting technologies.
  • Act as a Technical Domain Expert: Serve as a trusted subject matter expert internally and externally on data center infrastructure trends, technologies, and customer requirements across the “chip-to-grid” ecosystem.
  • Lead Product Development Initiatives: Drive feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and new product development activities related to power and cooling technologies.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide engineering teams while establishing best practices for design, testing, validation, and product performance.
  • Support Strategic Customer Engagements: Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and solution discussions to support business growth and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Serve as the engineering liaison between CPSD and key partner organizations, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and service organizations.
  • Support Field & Manufacturing Issues: Provide expert technical guidance to resolve field performance, manufacturing, and quality issues while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Influence Industry Direction: Monitor emerging technologies and industry standards while representing MEPPI within professional and standards organizations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience supporting the development, manufacturing, integration, or servicing of data center power and cooling infrastructure solutions.
  • Deep expertise supporting hyperscale or large-scale enterprise data center environments.
  • Strong end-to-end understanding of data center infrastructure, including:
    • Electrical distribution systems
    • UPS technologies
    • Thermal management systems
    • Liquid cooling technologies
    • Integrated data center architectures
  • Experience supporting high-density compute, AI infrastructure, or next-generation cooling strategies strongly preferred.
  • Proven technical leadership experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and complex product development programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers, strategic partners, and executive leadership teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ERP/MRP systems.
