We are looking for a Chief Engineer, Civil & Structural to join our PS Plant & Solutions Delivery team in the Minerals business area. In this role, you will lead civil and structural design activities in global plant delivery projects, supporting the development and delivery of minerals processing plant solutions.

You will report to the Director, Plant & Mechanical Engineering, and the role location is Espoo, Finland, with a hybrid working model available. Occasional travel to customer sites is required.

Team you will belong to

You will join the PS Plant & Solutions Delivery team in Espoo. The team is responsible for engineering and delivering plant solutions for minerals processing projects, with a focus on high-quality project execution and technical excellence.

The team works closely with project teams, engineering disciplines, workshops, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver plant solutions that meet project requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead civil and structural engineering activities in plant delivery projects.
• Manage quality, schedule, and budget related to civil and structural engineering scope.
• Coordinate with workshops involved in the manufacturing of steel structures.
• Manage subcontracted engineering work and ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure engineering activities are performed in accordance with Metso’s business processes.
• Contribute to the development of minerals processing plants and engineering solutions.

What you'll bring

• Degree in engineering or another relevant technical field.
• Experience with Tekla Structures and STAAD.Pro.
• Experience in an engineering role or related technical environment.
• Ability to lead engineering activities while balancing quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Good cooperation skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.
