Job Description

The Role

DP World is currently seeking a Chief Commercial Officer for its busy port in Novi Sad. This multi-use port works with a number of shipping lines and plays an important role within the wider DP World infrastructure, collaborating closely with Contract Logistics and Freight teams.

This role is responsible for shaping and delivering the regional commercial approach, developing a long-term plan aligned with the global commercial strategy and supporting DP World’s ambition to be a leading supply chain provider. The Chief Commercial Officer will collaborate with colleagues across locations to identify business development opportunities and contribute to the achievement of agreed goals and KPIs.

The role also works closely with the senior leadership team to support relationships with state administration bodies at both central and local levels. As a member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the General Manager of the port, this position plays a key role in supporting the port’s commercial and operational objectives.

In addition to strengthening existing services, the role involves exploring and developing new service opportunities to support business growth and enhance the port’s position as a key logistics hub. The Chief Commercial Officer will also support and guide a small team, setting clear objectives and contributing to their ongoing development.

About the Person

What we are looking for:

• Experience overseeing or contributing to a commercial function within logistics, supply chain, or freight environments.
• A strong understanding of the container business and the knowledge of the key players in this market.
• Experience supporting the development and delivery of long-term commercial strategies.
• Experience working in a port environment is beneficial but not essential.
• A track record of working towards and achieving business objectives.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and share insights from market data.
• Experience building and maintaining effective senior stakeholder relationships.
• Experience supporting or managing teams, with a focus on development and collaboration.
• Business-level written and spoken English is essential.
