DRMP is seeking a Chief Bridge Engineer to lead our expanding structures practice —managing complex DOT projects, mentoring world-class engineers, and setting the standard for excellence in bridge design across the Southeast.

The Opportunity

DRMP is a fast-growing transportation engineering firm with deep expertise in bridge design, infrastructure rehabilitation, and structural solutions. We're expanding our structures practice, and we need a Chief Bridge Engineer who can lead technical excellence, grow project pursuits, and develop the next generation of structural engineers.

  • Build a team of exceptional structural professionals.
  • Shape the future of the practice through mentorship.

Support Project Delivery Throughout All Phases

  • Lead design alternatives investigations, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and provide construction-phase problem-solving.
  • Ensure projects succeed from start to finish.

What you bring

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • Licensed PE (PE/SE in Florida preferred; ability to obtain Florida registration required)
  • 15+ years post-registration structural engineering experience

  • Deep expertise with bridge design software (FB Multi-Pier, Leap Bridge, CSi, STAAD, FDOT tools, etc.)
  • Proficiency in OpenBridge Modeler, MicroStation, GEOPAK, AutoCAD, or similar CADD platforms
  • Mastery of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and FDOT standards
  • Proven ability to mentor junior staff and lead multidisciplinary bridge projects
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills

Nice to Have:

  • Construction specialty engineering or field experience
  • 3D modeling with OpenBridge Modeler
