As a BOH Cook Crew Member at Chick-fil-A, you are responsible for preparing high-quality food quickly, safely, and accurately in a fast-paced airport environment. This role is essential to maintaining food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and operational efficiency while ensuring every guest receives fresh products that meet Chick-fil-A standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare food, stock inventory, follow recipes, and maintain sanitation standards during high-volume business periods. If you thrive in a structured, team-oriented environment and enjoy staying active while delivering quality work under pressure, this role is for you. Because apparently the survival of modern civilization depends on perfectly timed chicken sandwiches before boarding Group C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Chick-fil-A recipes, procedures, and food safety standards.
  • Maintain speed, accuracy, and food quality during high-volume meal periods.
  • Ensure all food products are properly stocked, rotated, labeled, and stored.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, prep areas, coolers, freezers, and storage areas.
  • Assist with unloading deliveries, stocking inventory, and monitoring product levels throughout shifts.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
  • Support daily opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
  • Respond quickly to changing business demands while maintaining operational standards.
  • Maintain professionalism, urgency, and teamwork throughout the shift.
  • Follow all company policies, airport regulations, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food service experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
  • Reliable attendance and professional work ethic required.
  • Ability to follow directions, recipes, and operational procedures consistently.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
