The Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) Bureau of Property Management is seeking to hire an experienced Electrician in the Chicago Loop area. This position will be responsible for performing journeyman commercial electrical work including installing, altering, repairing, and/or maintaining electrical systems and equipment which operate on alternating or direct current circuits, high voltage lines through panels, switches, meters, and circuit breakers. Additional duties include installing and maintaining ballasts and lights, performing preventative maintenance, trace and locate component failures, and maintaining battery and generator systems. The ideal candidate has successfully completed an electrical journeyman apprenticeship, has strong organization, time-management, writing, and communication skills.
