JOB TITLE: Generalist
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
STATUS: Full-Time
Responsible for the day-to-day objectives and support of all aspects within the Human Resources department. This job is primarily the point of contact for Leaves, FMLA reporting, Return to Work processes, Benefits, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• All duties are performed in accordance with property policies, practices and procedures
• Outstanding analytical and communication skills
• Maintains and updates policies and procedures
• Negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations
• Benefits administration and organization
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to manage employee relationships
• Assist with all internal and external Human Resources related matters
• Participates in developing organizational guidelines and procedures
• Manage the organization’s employee database and prepares required reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
• Conceptual thinker, organizational and conflict management skills
• Efficient in Human Resources administration and people management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/applications
• Excellent record keeping skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English in both written and verbal forms
• Understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Previous experience and/or training in Human Resources
• Must have or obtain all required work cards (Nevada Gaming Control Board - License)
• Excellent organizational skills to effectively complete necessary tasks
• Excellent guest service skills to effectively assist Team Members
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Work an area which may be noisy and may contain secondhand smoke
• Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping.
• Tasks will include but not limited to the maintenance and care of assigned area
• Constant contact with fellow Team Members and guests
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays; this is critical to support the needs of the business and is subject to change.
